Every dog has it’s day…
Hey!
Well this week I release my new album. I’m pretty dang excited. Everything is looking pretty good as far as the set and all. But of course when things are going good, you can expect to have some bad happen soon after.
I had kind of been anticipating something bad to happen this week because things are going well. It sounds superstitious, kinda is I guess, but that’s usually always the case. When I got home today, my mom was outside holding my wiener dog, Joie. Four of my neighbors were running around my house frantically. Apparently, my other dog, Jazz (shi tzu), had escaped out of the fence and gotten her tail tore up by a big dog. When I say tore up, I mean like almost dead tore up. My neighbor, Jimmy, wrapped her up in a towel and put her in the car. We got her to the doggy hospital and they put her in a little incubator. If she lives through all of this, she’ll be blind in one eye.
What sucks about the whole deal is that it’s my dad’s dog. He’s pretty sad about the whole thing, as are the rest of us. I think most people kinda feel like dogs are just dogs, but in my family, dogs ARE family. I mean we cry when those stupid abused dog commercials come on. I’m not really sure if that’s normal or not-haha. But regardless we miss our little Jazz tonight. Hopefully, she’ll make it.
Even with all of this doggy drama, I CAN NOT let satan still my joy nor my focus. So, that’s what I’m really praying for right now- a focused mindset and a joyful spirit.
On a happier note, the concert is going to be AwEsOmE. You guys should DEFINITLEY come. My friends Jason Hoard, Timmy Gibson, and Scott Meder are playing with me- and they’re stinkin’ AMAZING. The set is ridiculously cool. Jeremy did a phenomenal job. But ya know, you’ll have to come to see how rad it is;)
Hope to see you there,
Haley
